Honing Your Cyber Security Skills
If you want to develop or prove your cyber security skills, we can help.
We offer a range of courses aimed at the cyber security professional, from Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) to Certified Incident Handler (CIH).
While we're happy for you to get in touch to simply book a particular course, one of the main reasons to learn with ID Cyber is that we use our knowledge of both the course content and the industry as a whole to guide you in which courses are best suited to your ultimate learning goals.
We'll only ever suggest the courses we genuinely think will be of benefit to what you're trying to achieve.
How does it work? Here's an example.
You're already confidently sitting at the level of Certified Cybersecurity Technician and are ready to move through the next stage of courses. You've heard of Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) but see your future in the blue team.
We chat with you to determine where your interests really lie and how you hope to develop your skills. We help you decide between courses like Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator, Certified Network Defender, and Certified Incident Handler.
Whatever your end goals are, get in touch and we'll advise you on how to get there.
FAQs
Is your training delivered online or in-person?
You'll first work through the content yourself, in your own time at home, before meeting with our trainer for several days to review the material, cover any sticking points, and work through all the hands-on labs. We prefer the trainer sessions to be in person (at our Glasgow training centre) as we find participants gain the most from this, but we can accommodate virtual attendance if necessary.
What will the training cover?
When we discuss the potential course options with you, we'll share documents outlining the course content, learning goals, and everything else you need to know. There's no rush to make a decision—we want you to be absolutely certain before you commit.
I just want to buy a course... why do I need to talk with you?
Honestly, we'd love to sell you one. We just don't think it's ethical or appropriate to do that without checking your requirements first. You might have seen a course name online and thought 'That sounds great' but you might not know about an alternative course option that would be more beneficial for the career you want to have.
